In January 2025, in its first full inspection since the Outstanding Judgement in February 2014, Balsall Common Primary School Academy was Outstanding in Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Early Years Provision, and Good in the Quality of Education and Leadership and Management. Balsall Common Primary School is the founding academy of Central Schools Trust ‘CST’ in 2016.

CST is currently a small trust undergoing an exciting phase of growth and expansion. Our values and ethos promote an aspirational culture of professionalism, mutual respect and honesty.

The existing CEO is retiring as of August 2026. Following a rigorous recruitment process, the existing headteacher at Balsall Common has been appointed as the incoming CEO. As a result, Trustees wish now to appoint a new Headteacher, for a September 2026 start, who is keen to join CST and who will continue to take the school forward.
