Play Worker for Woodies Childcare ​​​​​​​

Annual Salary: Band B (£12.45 to £12.85 per hour)

Contract: Temporary fixed term until Friday 18th July 2025 - Term time only

Hours:16.25 hours per week

Monday - Friday 8.45am-12.00noon 

There is also likely to be opportunities to work additional hours on a casual basis as required at Woodies Childcare or in the School Nursery.

Damson Wood Nursery and Infant School Academy, including Woodies Childcare, is a welcoming, child-centred setting, which is currently in a period of growth. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly-motivated and caring practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team to care for our growing number of children attending Woodies Childcare pre-school.

This role involves developing and delivering high-quality inclusive learning opportunities and play for children between the ages of 2 and 3 years, including those with additional needs. You will support the provision by planning and delivering activities in an exciting, nurturing environment. Building effective relationships with parents and carers, as well as children and colleagues, is essential. 

This position would suit a newly-qualified or experienced practitioner who is creative, enthusiastic and has a passion for supporting children’s early development.

NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or working towards Level 3) or equivalent is essential for this role
